Maggie Kerr was born outside of Montreal, Canada. From an early age, Maggie has been painting canvases and faces. While attending College Interdec in Montreal for makeup artistry, which included special effects, she started doing makeup on her friends who were theatre actors. From there, she worked with up-and-coming photographers and filmmakers in Montreal and New York, which brought her to San Francisco, where she lived for seven years.
Maggie approaches makeup from a painterly eye. She attended The School of the Art Institute Chicago, and is inspired by Jenny Holzer, Gerard Richter, and Caravaggio.
She has worked with some of today's exciting photographers such as Ben Watts, Miko Lim, and Nigel Barker. She has been the spokesperson for Peruvian cosmetics line L'Bel. She has worked with celebrities such as Lea Michelle, on runway shows such as The CFDA, music videos, TV, commercials, catalog, and maintains an abundance of advertising clients from Harley Davidson to Trunk Club.
