Laretta Houston is a photographer specializing in editorial and advertising photography born in Angeles City, Philippines. The daughter of a military father who traveled a lot and losing her mother at age 13 to Lupus, this is when she entered her journey through the foster care system.

From struggle and poverty evolved an inspirational vision of beauty and life all around her. Struggling to balance work, school and raising a child, she graduated at the Art Institute of Atlanta.  After several years as a successful web designer, her love of photography continued to grow and to date has not stopped.

Recent accomplishment includes being the first female to shoot the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit and first African American to shoot for the magazine.
