British born Helen Robertson loves people, adventure, creativity and humor. After completing a short film and T.V. makeup course, Helen went on to pursue a career in fashion and beauty in London, Milan and Hamburg where her client roster included Christian Dior, as well as many others. Helen later moved to Sydney, Australia and worked on various advertising campaigns, catalogs, commercials and music videos with local celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Cate Blanchett, Greg Norman and Baz Lurhmann.
Makeup and Hair assignments took Helen to many exotic locations including New Zealand and Africa to shoot editorials including Vogue Australia, Marie Claire, Harper’s Bazaar and Oyster. Helen eventually returned to London where she perfected her talent for creating a natural yet edgy makeup look.
Helen’s love for portraiture photography blossomed and she began grooming many male celebrities for shoots with iconic photographers such as Terry O’Neill, Mario Testino and Rankin. From there Helen groomed for the covers of British Vogue, GQ, Elle, Esquire, Glamour, Dazed and Confused and I-D. Helen went on to assist makeup legend Val Garland on a Paris fashion show. She then moved to LA where she has been blessed to groom many famous directors, producers, actors and musicians including Steven Spielberg, JJ Abrams, Ian McShane, Tom Selleck, Aaron Ekhart, Ted Danson, Diplo, Quincy Jones and Herbie Hancock.
